Workers were setting rafters on the covered bridge structure erected over the existing Cold Brook bridge at the Hermitage Inn.  
Whitingham, Wilmington, and Twin Valley school board members began discussing the pros and cons of consolidating their elementary grades.  The two towns had consolidated their middle and high school grades five years earlier, and board members cited the success of Twin Valley Middle High School in the “pro” elementary consolidation column.
