According to The Deerfield Valley Snooze, the developers of the Hayloft Club at Haystack Mountain planned to buy Mount Snow strictly for the water rights. The private Haystack resort’s management planned to shut down the larger mountain, mothball its facilities, and demolish a number of buildings.
