A wind turbine in Searsburg was severely damaged when a a blade hit the tower in high winds. The strike caused the tower to buckle, sending the nacelle (the gearbox at the top of the tower) crashing to the ground. Nobody was hurt in the incident, but 40 gallons of hydraulic oil leaked onto the site.
East Dover residents attended a selectboard meeting to complain about speeding on North Street. The speeding was out of control, they said, and enforcement in East Dover was being overlooked, to the endangerment of local residents.
