10 years ago:
Census figures identified a drop in local population. Compared with the 1990 census, Wilmington lost 349 people, or almost 16% of its population, and Dover lost 150 people, or 10% of its population. Whitingham gained 59 people, and Wardsboro added 46.
Mount Snow announced they would replace the Summit Local triple chairlift with a new high-speed, detachable “six pack” bubble chairlift. The new chairlift marked a return to the bubble chairlifts Mount Snow installed in the early 1970s, and removed in the late 1970s.
