Wilmington officials presented a plan for a new town garage to replace the circa 1963 town garage on Beaver Street. With $647,000 in surplus and other funds the town had salted away in a garage capital fund, the proposed bond for the almost $1 million garage was only $340,000. It was the third time the town had attempted to replace the garage. In 2008 the town defeated two garage bonds, one for a $1.2 million facility, and a second for a scaled-down $900,000 project.
