Dr. Peter Park was taking a sabbatical from his work at the SVMC Deerfield Campus, and he and his family were getting ready to move to Opunake, New Zealand. Park would spend about a year working in a community clinic about the size of the one he left. Park and his wife, Shelley, had been planning the adventure for a decade and a half.
