10 years ago:
Windham County Sen. Jeanette White spearheaded an effort to change the Vermont Constitution to allow 17-year-olds who will turn 18 before the general election to vote in primaries.  The idea was introduced by a a group of young women who wanted to be more involved in the electoral process.
