10 years ago:
The owners of two condemned properties on School Street in Readsboro that had been significantly damaged by Tropical Storm Irene learned that their properties might be eligible for a FEMA buyout. The properties, located on the banks of the West Branch of the Deerfield River, were badly eroded by the flood, and their dwellings were at risk of sliding into the river.
