Voices of Hope sets up shop at firehouse

WILMINGTON - Voices of Hope, a local group whose mission is to inspire hope and actively support people affected by substance use, announces an open house and a meeting schedule for support groups at the Old Firehouse at 18 Beaver Street, starting Monday, September 19.
During open hours there will be a recovery coach on site to answer questions, take calls, make referrals or just because. The coffee is always on. Open hours are Mondays from 3 to 8 pm, Tuesdays from noon to 4 pm, Wednesdays from 10 to 4 pm, and Thursdays from 3 to 8 pm. There will be no open hours on Fridays.
Support groups will include meditation group Mondays at 5 pm, with discussion and practice to find calm and peace in recovery.  Mondays at 7 pm will be all recovery meetings, hosted by Voices. All pathways to addiction recovery are welcome.
Tuesdays at noon will be brown bag meetings on bereavement, in partnership with Brattleboro Area Hospice. Come share experiences. There is a short intake process if interested. Call Lars Hunter, of BAH, at (802) 275-0755.
Wednesdays at noon will be meetings based on smart recovery, a non-12 step meeting, which emphasizes self-management and recovery tools. Thursdays at 7 pm will be women’s-only all recovery meetings, hosted by Voices.
Last, Fridays at 6 pm, Voices family and friends share will take place. Come to tell stories and share experiences with a family’s journey through addiction and wellness.
