If you are lucky, you still have friends in your life whom you have known forever. I have one from third grade and many from my college years. My observation is that we are all now in our early 80s - sort of the Readers’ Digest version of our lifelong selves. We have been boiled down to our essence like condensed milk or orange juice concentrate during the many decades we have lived. Sometimes that is a great thing and sometimes not so much. And by this time, we are not going to change who we are. Forget that!
