Emerson College awards local students
BOSTON  - Emerson College awarded more than 1,000 undergraduate degrees during its 142nd commencement at Agganis Arena on Sunday, May 8.
Aaron Boles, of Wilmington, VT, received a BA in  a self-designed major. Acesta Frye-Panther, of Marlboro, VT, received a BA in a self-designed major. Cory Mack, of Bondville, VT, received a BA in business creative enterprises. Seamus Butcher, of West Halifax, VT, received a BA in media arts production and graduated in August 2022.
Mack has also been named to Emerson College’s dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.

Zizza receives master of arts at Alabama
TUSCALOOSA, AL - The University of Alabama awarded over 1,400 degrees during its summer commencement ceremonies on Saturday, August 6. Ava Zizza, of Wilmington, VT, received a master of arts.

Walsh earns Tufts dean’s list honors
MEDFORD, MA - Tufts University announced the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester. Among students earning dean’s list honors are Broden Walsh, of Marlboro, VT, class of 2026.

Clark University honors local students
WORCESTER, MA - The following local residents were named to Clark University’s spring 2022 dean’s list: Nicholas M. Mitchell, of Putney, VT, was named to first honors; Julia S. Foster, of Putney, VT, was named to second honors; Max H. Spicer, of South Newfane, VT, was named to first honors; and Julianne L. Liebow, of Townshend, VT, was named to first honors.

Taylor excels academically at Savannah
SAVANNAH, GA - Allyson Taylor, of Wilmington, VT, was named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design for the spring 2022 quarter. Taylor is seeking a bachelor of fine arts degree in business of beauty and fragrance.

Morrison graduates from University of Utah
SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah wishes to congratulate Erin Morrison, of Londonderry, VT, who was among the more than 8,000 graduates honored during the 153rd general commencement ceremony on May 5. Morrison earned a bachelor of science degree in design in spring 2022.

Yanke receives bachelor’s in business
BURLINGTON - Champlain College congratulates Barbara Yanke, of Wilmington, who  completed their bachelor of science in business management, graduating after the spring 2022 semester.

Local students excelling at Champlain
BURLINGTON - The following students have been named to a Champlain College honors list for the spring 2022 semester: Ashley Bolton, of South Londonderry; Janelle Fisher, of Whitingham; Jayden Crawford, of Wilmington; and Mark Hunnewell, of South Londonderry, made the dean’s list. Hailee Mattson, of Dummerston, made the president’s list.

Williams graduates from Rhode Island
KINGSTON, RI - The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during its 136th commencement. Close to 3,600 undergraduate degrees and more than 800 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies - including to Rebecca Lynn Williams, of Jamaica, VT - which took place Friday, May 20, to Sunday, May 22.

Cowles makes St. Lawrence spring list
CANTON, NY - Sam Cowles, of South Londonderry, VT, has been named to St. Lawrence University’s dean’s list for achieving academic excellence during the spring 2022 semester. A Burr and Burton Academy alumnus, Cowles is a member of the class of 2022 and is majoring in environmental studies.

Morris receives spring academic honors
CHICOPEE, MA - The College of Our Lady of the Elms has named Tyler Morris, of West Townshend, VT, to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.

Rafus makes Northern Vermont dean’s list
LYNDON - Joseph Rafus, of Whitingham, was named to the dean’s list at Northern Vermont University for the spring 2022 semester. Students who achieve between a 3.50 and 3.99 semester average are placed on the dean’s list.

Ithaca College names students to list
ITHACA, NY - Ithaca College congratulates Cassidy Gallivan, of West Dover, VT; Olivia Saunders, of Bondville, VT; and Avery White, of Townshend, VT, for being named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.
