Student News: January academic accomplishments

Castleton University
CASTLETON - Noah Distefano, of West Townshend, and Jenna Robinson, of East Dover, were named to the Castleton University president’s list for the fall semester of the 2021 to 2022 academic year.
To qualify for this highest academic honor, students must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0.
Makenna Milbauer, of Grafton; Sally Densmore, of Wilmington; Morgen Janovsky, of Wilmington; Maria Page, of West Halifax; Jairen Sanderson, of West Townshend; and Veronica Stevens, of Newfane, were recently named to the Castleton University dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2021 to 2022 academic year.
To qualify for this academic honor, students must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

Roger Williams University
BRISTOL, RI - Abigail Sargent, of Dummerston, VT, has been named to the fall 2021 dean’s list at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean’s list that semester.

Emerson College
BOSTON - Aaron Boles, of Wilmington, VT, and Cory Mack, of Bondville, VT, were among those named to Emerson College’s dean’s list for the fall 2021 semester.
The requirement to make dean’s list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.
Both members of the class of 2022, Boles is majoring in a self-designed major, while Mack’s is in business creative enterprises.

College of the Holy Cross
WORCESTER, MA - Gabrielle Beal, of Wilmington, VT, was named to the College of the Holy Cross fall 2021 dean’s list. A member of the class of 2024, Beal is undeclared.
Beal was among more than 1,375 students named to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2021 to 2022 academic year.
To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Lasell University
NEWTON, MA - Kaie Quigley, a Lasell University student from West Wardsboro, VT, participated in the institution’s annual career readiness symposium.
Quigley shared work from the fall semester on behalf of the 1851 Chronicle, Lasell’s student-run newspaper. Quigley is the paper’s editor-in-chief.
The presentation incorporated the National Association of Colleges and Employers competencies of professionalism, leadership, and career and self-development.
