St. Mary’s launches emergency food box

WILMINGTON - The Outdoor Emergency Food Box was launched Sunday, January 16, at St. Mary’s in the Mountains Episcopal Church. The box is located on the walkway between the parking lot, behind the church and the church’s front door at 13 East Main Street.
This food box contains meals and snacks. The Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, located a block away at 7 Church Street, is open two days a month, and does an admirable job of providing substantial amounts of food for its clients. The needs the food box is designed to address are those occasions when someone runs out of food between visits to the food pantry.
