Senior Solutions starts campaign

DEERFIELD VALLEY - Senior Solutions is launching a campaign this month in Wardsboro, Jamaica, and Townshend with the goal of ensuring that every household is food and fuel secure. During early May every household will receive a letter briefly describing on-going programs providing help with food and fuel resources available in the towns. Included in the letter will be a 4-inch by 9-inch card listing the contact information of the organizations and services provided by each. This will also be available at town institutions, churches, stores, and libraries.
As part of the campaign, Senior Solutions will hold seven “drop-in” sessions at a variety of locations to provide information and help residents complete seasonal heating fuel assistance and 3SquaresVT food benefit applications.
The Senior Solutions team will be available at the following times and locations: Jamaica Community Church - Tuesday, May 10, 1 to 3 pm, and Thursday, May 19, 2 to 4 pm; Wardsboro Library - Saturday, May 14, 11 am to 1 pm, and Tuesday, May 24, 1 to 3 pm; Townshend Church Food Pantry - Monday, May 9, 6 pm to 7:30 pm; and West Townshend Farmers Market - Friday, May 27, 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
