Rock River Players’ auditions
WILLIAMSVILLE - Rock River Players’ auditions for “The Importance of Being Earnest” will take place at the Williamsville Hall on Friday, August 12, from 10 am to noon; and Monday, August 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Directed by Annie Landenberger, Wilde’s well-loved comedy will run from Friday to Sunday, November 4 to 6, and 11 to 13. Wilde, a late 19th-century Irish-born playwright, is known for his quick wit; rapid-fire repartee; and quirky, rich characters. This timeless satire on the follies of classism is pointedly relevant today.
Auditioners will be asked to read scenes from the script. English accents are not required. Auditioners should bring their calendars so conflict dates can be entered on one’s audition form.
