Open mic on pizza night

WEST TOWNSHEND - On Saturday, July 30, there will be a special event at the West Townshend Country Store. Liana Gabel, who is one of the women who built the store’s new pizza pavilion, will be doing a fun, family-friendly, concert-open mic during pizza night, from 5 to 7 pm. She is a talented musician and dancer who loves to entertain and get people to participate. Come and listen, watch, join in the fun, and eat pizza. Bring an instrument if interested in playing or a song to share.
Gabel specializes in flatfoot clogging, a traditional free form dance style. It is usually done to old-time fiddle tunes but can be done to lots of different types of music. She will be performing on Friday night with one of the regular bands, the Buzzards. She is also doing a flatfoot dance workshop on Saturday afternoon at 3. If interested in the workshop contact sally.newton123@gmail.com.
Gabel is traveling from her home on the Hudson Valley so she will appreciate donations for these events, especially with gas prices so high.
