MOOver adds routes to Stratton and Manchester

STRATTON MOUNTAIN - Stratton Mountain Resort has partnered with the MOOver, southern Vermont’s public transit system, to create a new way of getting to the mountain this winter. A new route is now running to and from Manchester and Stratton, making four to eight round trips daily, varying weekdays to weekends. This sought-after route provides Stratton Mountain employees and the general public with mountain access seven days a week. The MOOver will service this route through Friday, April 1.
The MOOver route starts at Stratton Mountain Resort at 4:30 am on weekdays and 4 am on weekends. Then it makes its way down to Manchester, making stops at the Econo Lodge, Travelodge Chalet, Manchester Town Offices, Route 7A at Walgreens, and behind Northshire Bookstore. Stratton employees and guests can get on the MOOver at any stop for a free ride to or from the mountain. Two MOOver buses will be in rotation daily, with scheduled departures and arrivals that mirror one another.
In preparation for the 2021 to 2022 season, Stratton Mountain Resort has invested in employee housing and public transportation beyond the resort’s property. Through this investment, Stratton has added 150 employee housing beds and the MOOver service. The free bus routes provide a valuable community service for employees, guests, and the public.
The MOOver bus connects to three other bus companies to provide transportation to Rutland, Bennington, and Albany, NY. All of the MOOver’s buses are spotted to look like Holstein cows and are free to ride. This southern Vermont transit system adds incredible value and freedom for both employees looking to get out on a day off, or the general public in need of a ride.
All riders and drivers are required to wear face coverings while onboard the bus. Other operating policies and route schedules may change without notice.
Buses can run behind schedule due to traffic or bad weather. Download the Transit Mobile App and look up Route 14 Stratton-Manchester to view where the bus is and an approximate time it will be at a stop. Riders can elect to receive travel alerts and approaching bus texts.
