Legislature in uncharted territory

It has now been four weeks since the Senate left Montpelier and started meeting remotely. Our Constitution says that we meet in the Statehouse and that the sessions are open to the public. At this time of social distancing and stay-at-home orders we needed to figure out a way to do what we needed to do and yet uphold the Constitution. At first our committees were meeting on conference calls with the numbers published so anyone could join.
