WILMINGTON - This month marked the conclusion of a yearlong commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the flooding of Mountain Mills. The commemoration, led by the Historical Society of Wilmington, comprised numerous site visits around town related to the once-thriving community that ceased to exist in 1924 when the New England Power Company flooded it to create the Harriman Reservoir.
