WILMINGTON - The Community Garden at Howe Farm expanded this year, adding more plots for the public to use and, for the first time, growing food specifically to donate to the community. Each week, the garden drops off produce at Twice Blessed, where a donation table sits outside for the community to take what they need.
Founder Karen Horton says she has always loved growing food. “At home I’ve tried to be as self-sufficient as we can be, to grow foods for ourselves,” she says.
