File Town Meeting petitions
WILMINGTON - The deadline for filing candidate consent forms and petitions in Wilmington is Monday, January 30, by 5 pm. Consent forms and petitions for elected offices to be voted on by Australian ballot are available at the town clerk’s office.
The following elected offices will be on the ballot for the annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, March 7: moderator, one year; selectboard, three years; selectboard, two years; board of listers, one year; board of listers, three years; first constable, one year; second constable, one year; trustee of C.C. Haynes Fund, one year; library trustee, five years; library trustee, two years remaining on five-year term; cemetery commissioner, five years; school moderator, one year; school treasurer, one year; school clerk, one year; school director, three years; and school director, three years.
The last day for voters to file a petition with the town clerk to have an article appear on the ballot is Thursday, January 19. The petition must contain signatures from at least 5% of registered voters for the town of Wilmington. For more information call the Wilmington town clerk’s office at (802) 464-5836, ext. 115.
