Is the Deerfield Valley an age-friendly community?

Claudette Hollenbeck

Is the Deerfield Valley an age-friendly community? Well, I suppose it depends on which age you are referring to. In my opinion, we are not especially friendly to teenagers. There is very little here of an organized nature, outside of school hours, for teens. The old high school in its new incarnation may turn out to reverse that. I dropped in to see the renovations this week and was, frankly, stunned. I have asthma and, in the past, the minute I stepped into that lobby before the gymnasium my chest would begin to seize up due to all the mold. Not a wheeze this time.
