Christopher Dougherty promoted to colonel in US Air Force

CALIFORNIA- Christopher Dougherty, formerly of Wilmington, VT, was commissioned a colonel in the US Air Force in February. His 115th airlift squadron provides assistance to the California governor during state and national emergencies as well as aerial firefighting with a C-130, throughout the state.
Col. Dougherty is a 1996 Air Force Academy graduate with a BS in human factors engineering, two masters in aeronautical science and military operational arts and science, and has taken two leadership classes at the Harvard University Kennedy School.
