I want to write about women and work. For me, this is a very personal and very powerful issue. I fear I cannot write about it well from a societal or global perspective because for me it has been such an integral element of who I am and how I feel about myself. Paid work was my ticket to freedom and independence, two states of being I craved my whole life. Paid work has been my spine.
