2022 Beer and Chili Stroll

WILMINGTON - Restaurants throughout the Deerfield Valley showed off their cooking Saturday at the Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Beer and Chili Stroll, from 4 to 8 pm. From 4 to 7 pm, attendees went from stand to stand, sampling chili from 12 restaurants, as well as from Twin Valley Middle High School’s Junior Iron Chef team. Attendees could also taste 14 beers from seven different breweries and listen to live music from four local acts. Approximately 200 people attended.
At an afterparty at 7 pm, attendees could vote for their favorite chili, and win up to 16 raffle prizes. In the chili contest, Dover Forge won first place, followed by La Casita in second place and Trail 87 in third. Chamber executive director Bethaney LaClaire noted that 19 South Main and Valley View Saloon came close in the final tally and that it was a close race overall.
