Winterfest returns with winter family fun

WILMINGTON- Winter fun is back at Winterfest! Join Wilmington Works for a winter family fun event at Hayford Field on Saturday, February 11, from 1 to 3 pm.
Highlights of the day include winter games hosted by the Pettee Memorial Library and Beaver Brook Children’s School and an ice carving demonstration by Jeff Day of Ice Designs.
Starting at 1:30 pm, slide on into the Duct Tape Derby with a homemade cardboard and duct tape sled. WW Building Supply is offering a special to registered entrants on duct tape. The Duct Tape Derby is hosted by Boy Scout Troop 461. Prizes will be given for most creative sleds and longest ride.
Refreshments will be offered by the Twin Valley High School Spanish Club as a fundraiser for their trip April trip to Spain. Enjoy s’mores roasted over a Solo stove fire.
