August 22 – Pastor Jeremy Kirk of West Dover Congregational Church and his parishioners offer a variety of community centered programs. Come and learn what is happening in Dover.
August 29 – St. Mary’s Church in Wilmington hosted a summer Seminary intern, John Terauds, and he will tell us about his experience and how he was welcomed in the valley.
September 5 – Randy Capitani, publisher of The Deerfield Valley News,  will speak about the challenges and opportunities in operating a weekly, local newspaper. One of AIP’s missions is fighting social isolation for seniors. Join and offer ideas on how a local paper can help with this issue.
September 12 – Medicare and Supplemental Health Plans will be discussed.
September 19 – Veteran to Veteran Program collaboratively offered to vets through partnerships with RSVP, Senior Solutions, and area vets groups presented by Steve Overton and Vicki Mastroianni.

Not part of this series, but definitely worth noting, is the AARP Driver Safety Program lead by Elliott Greenblatt on Tuesday, September 24, 9 am to 2 pm, also at the church. Fee is $20 ($15 with an up-to-date AARP card). Most auto insurance companies will give you a discount if you have taken this course. Call (802) 464-5156 and reserve a spot. Just leave a message on the machine. Bring a bag lunch.
