A few weeks ago, Gov. Phil Scott warned of a COVID-19 “back burn” that could send Vermont’s coronavirus numbers trending in the wrong direction.
Scott’s warning appears to be prescient, as Vermont is seeing an uptick in virus cases. During the past week more than 140 cases have been reported. While still small compared to other areas of the country, these numbers are much more than the single digit numbers of new cases reported during the summer months.
