Pandemic response not as simple as it seems

At a recent press conference, Gov. Phil Scott called for “personal responsibility” from Vermonters in keeping the coronavirus in check.  While the sentiment rings true for many, keeping  a lid on COVID is something that has proven elusive during the past few months. COVID numbers continue to be persistently high and the state has gone from best-in-the-nation status to middle of the pack. Those higher numbers have led to corresponding increases in hospitalizations and deaths, more in the past four months than in first 16 months of the pandemic.
