Legislators need to keep state affordable for all

Last month some area legislators and a lobbyist from the state chamber of commerce sat down with a diverse group of locals to talk about what to expect in the upcoming legislative session. Vermont’s Legislature, as veteran political watchers will know, is about to crank up after the first of the  year.
There will be any number of bills taken up for possible passage into law, from paid family leave, minimum wage growth, and workforce development, to tourism spending, Act 250 regulatory changes, cannabis tax and regulate bills, and climate change.
