Spend any time at a local post office, school or grocery store in the next couple of weeks and chances are someone will walk through looking for signatures on a sheet of paper on a clipboard.
That’s right, it’s petition season.
More specifically, it’s petition season for local government. Don’t like what is happening with the way your town is being run? Have an issue that you’d like to get in front of the community for a vote? Want to get involved on a board or committee but not sure how to go about it?
