While the phrase “It takes a village to raise a child” might be a little threadbare and worn from use, there are constant reminders that it still holds relevance.  In this week’s issue we have more reminders of just how important it is for the “village” to  continue to nurture children and help them develop. 
We have two reports this week about groups more than willing to help make the valley a better place for local youth and families. Those are two  more examples that show local community spirit is alive and well.
