Virtual town hall events to help with unemployment filings
Montpelier – To help the increasing number of people filing for unemployment insurance benefits, the Vermont Department of Labor has added claimant-focused sessions to its schedule of Virtual Town Hall events. The first event will take place on Wednesday, April 8, from 8:30am-9:15am. Participants will be provided program updates and hear directly from Department staff.
“We understand that many claimants filing for unemployment insurance benefits have questions about the process as a whole. To help better communicate what claimants can expect throughout the process, we have added Virtual Town Hall events for claimants,” said Interim Commissioner Michael Harrington. “We encourage claimants who are able, to join us for these virtual events. Our goal through these events is to better communicate with claimants and to address some of the most common questions we have received.”
All virtual events will be recorded and accessible on the Department website, as well as on the Department’s YouTube Channel, which may be viewed here: https://bit.ly/VTLabor-Youtube.
