Music for the New Year

MANCHESTER- Taconic Music invites the community to ring in 2019 with a pair of concerts that offer something for everyone, from the young to young-at-heart.
There will be a family concert on Sunday, December 30, at 3 pm, at the Manchester Community Library, 138 Cemetery Avenue, featuring violinist Zachary DePue, the Taconic Chamber Players, and students from Strings for Kids and the Taconic Junior Ensemble playing several holiday favorites side-by-side. Suggested donation is $10 for adults, children are free.
On Monday, December 31 the fun continues at the Inn at Manchester’s Celebration Barn, 3967 Maini Street, with soloist Zachary DePue joining the Taconic Music Band (led by TM co-artistic director Joana Genova), in a concert featuring Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,”  along with favorite tunes from Broadway to Strauss’s iconic “Radetzky March.”  
The cash bar opens at 4 pm, and serves until 7 pm. The concert is from 5 to 6:15 pm, without intermission. Tickets are $25 for general admission. Seating is limited. Tickets and more information are available at taconicmusic.org or by calling (802) 362-7162.
