Jazz concert during the stroll

WILMINGTON- Bartleby’s Books will host a free concert with La Mechante et le Connard, during the Village Stroll on Thursday, July 5, starting at 5 pm.  This is the duo’s fourth performance, and is their only Vermont appearance this summer.  
This event is part of the new Thursday Summer Strolls in July series put on by Wilmington Works.
La Méchante et le Connard, storming in from Paris, France, is anything but what their name suggests. In French, La Méchante et le Connard, to the misfortune of this charming duo, means the villain and the jerk! But their music would suggest otherwise.
This duo presents a warm mix of jazz-age standards and classic favorites adapted and arranged for their instrumentation of double bass, ukulele, and vocals. La Méchante et le Connard are full of great energy, laughs, smiles, and of course, great music.
