Free ukulele jam at library

DOVER- On Monday, March 18, at 6 pm, the Dover Free Library will host a free ukulele jam, for ages 10 and up, with all levels of musical ability. (Children ages 8 and 9 may participate with parent or guardian in attendance).
Ukuleles will be available to borrow for this event, however, experienced players who already own one should bring it to play.
Topics covered will range from basics that include how to hold a ukulele, how to tune, and finger placement,  to more complex topics such as cheats, strum patterns, difficult finger placement, and rhythm, after which the participants will play a song or two. This recurring program is held on the third Monday of each month from March through June. Space is limited and registration is required.

On Tuesday, March 19, the library presents the feature film “A Star is Born,” starring Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, and Sam Elliot. Showtime is 5:30 pm. Runtime is 136 minutes. This film is rated R.
