Enjoy a bit of sweet rocking music at the farmers’ market

West Townshend- Breeze Verdant and Annie Landenberger, known as Bard Owl,  and friends perform Friday, August 30, from 5 to 8 pm at the West Townshend Farmers’ Market on Route 30.
Verdant, on guitar, vocals, and stomp box and Landenberger, on vocals, will be joined by Stephen Iachetta, widely known as the “Shaker fiddler.” Iachetta and Verdant, “a folker with a rock ‘n’ roll heart,” have performed together for over a decade, finding themselves at farmers’ markets, fairs, festivals, brew pubs, and even opening for Natalie Merchant. Joining the trio will be Derek Gladding on bass and David LaPointe on percussion.
The West Townshend Farmers’ Market is a cherished event in the West River Valley with wood-fired pizza and a fine host of area vendors.
