Writing support group for those experiencing loss

BRATTLEBORO- A new writing support group for adults who have experienced any kind of death loss begins Thursday, January 9, from 3 to 5 pm. The group will meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month and is limited to six people. Writing experience is not required. The group will be facilitated by Walter Slowinski and Rick Wilhite.
Participation is free of charge and open to anyone in the community grieving the death loss of a loved one, no matter when or where the loss occurred.  Bereavement support groups offer a safe, mutually supportive environment for sharing experiences through discussion, readings, simple activities, and suggestions for moving through grief. No prior connection with hospice is necessary in order to participate.
The group will meet at the hospice office at 191 Canal Street. Interested individuals must meet with Lars Hunter, Bereavement Program Coordinator, prior to joining the group.
