Weekly events for Brown Bag Lunch series

BRATTLEBORO- Strolling of the Heifers has announced the schedule for its Brown Bag Lunch series.
Monday, January 28: How the Rich Earth Institute supports sustainable agriculture and  clean water. Visitors will learn how the Rich Earth Institute is turning human urine into fertilizer, supporting sustainable local agriculture, protecting vital water resources, and creating circles from septic lines.
Tuesday, January 29:  Investing with Josh Roberts.
Wednesday, January 30: Long-term care Medicaid planning with Amelia WL Darrow, Esq.  A significant concern for an aging population is how to pay for elder care. Careful planning can make a big difference in asset preservation and eligibility for state assistance. Join elder law attorney Darrow for a lively interactive presentation on these issues.
Thursday, January 31: Writing for the Web with Deborah Lee Luskin. Writing online content differs from writing for print. Deborah Lee Luskin, a longtime blogger, will explain the basics of blogging, most of which requires writing concisely to a specific audience. She will demonstrate tricks of diction, word order, and concision so that writers can make the most of the moment to grab the audience’s interest and inform them of the writer’s purpose.
Friday- There will be no Brown Bag Lunch. Instead there will be a celebration of all things local from 4 to 8 pm.
All Brown Bag Lunch events take place from noon to 1 pm, at the Robert H Gibson River Garden, 157 Main Street, and are free and open to the public.
