Submission period is closing soon

SOUTHERN VERMONT- The Southern Vermont Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy is a regional plan for growth of the economy that was created in 2019 using a federally prescribed regional and public approach.
The CEDS contains a section identifying and prioritizing vital projects, programs, and activities that address the region’s greatest needs or that will best enhance the region’s competitiveness.
Inclusion of a project in the CEDS indicates to federal, state, and philanthropic funders that the project is aligned with the region’s economic goals for growth. Most federal grant applications ask if a project is aligned and included in the region’s CEDS. By submitting a project to be included in the CEDS you have the opportunity to gain a few additional points toward your federal grant application. Additionally, it creates a common understanding in the region among communities and organizations about what kind of projects are happening, elevating the opportunity for collaboration.
There is no funding associated with submitting a project to the CEDS. The project submission period is open through March 1. To read the CEDS document and action matrix or for more information visit https://www.sovermontzone.com/ceds.
