SOUTH DAKOTA - Lance and Lana Nelson, former local residents, qualified to go to the World’s Championship for Vex Robotics in Dallas. They are the grandchildren of Rebekah Green, a long term Wilmington resident. Green’s daughter, Angela Nelson, grew up in Whitingham but moved to South Dakota in 2021. Both Lance and Lana were born in Vermont.
This is the first time their team, the Spartan Robotics, has gone to the Vex World Championships.
