Students’ robots to battle it out at challenge

Brattleboro- High school teams from Vermont and Massachusetts that compete in the First Tech Challenge program will meet on November 23 for their first scrimmage and robot building workshop of the 2019-2020 competitive season.
The public is invited to this free event, which is from noon to 4 pm in the Multipurpose Room at Brattleboro Union High School, 131 Fairground Road.
In addition to watching scrimmages by invited robotics teams, spectators will hear pit tech talks from teams that participated in the 2019 FTC World Championship in Detroit. The 2018 FTC World Champions, Team #8644 (the Brainstormers), from Lexington, MA, also will be on hand to share their experiences and provide technical advice and pointers.
FIRST, “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology,” is a program for young people ages 5 to 18 with four age-based levels.
