Series announces weekly events
BRATTLEBORO- Strolling of the Heifers has announced the schedule for its Brown Bag Lunch series at the River Garden for next week. All Brown Bag Lunch events take place from noon to 1 pm, at the Robert H Gibson River Garden, 157 Main Street, and are free and open to the public.
Monday, December 17: Stop the Bleed with Jeff Frizell and Drew Hazleton, of Rescue Inc. Frizell and Hazleton will demonstrate what to do in a situation where someone is bleeding badly.
Tuesday, December 18: Connecting with Nature, with Bill Pearson, who will share thoughts about personal connections with the natural world that make people healthier and happier. Over 100 studies have shown that being in nature can have a positive impact on the brain, body, feelings, and social interactions, leading to greater openness, creativity, connection, generosity, and resilience. Also there will be a discussion on nature deficit disorder.
Wednesday, December 19: Katharine Breunig plays holiday favorites on the piano.
Thursday, December 20: Hemp for the Holidays with Joanna Wilson Phillips, chief CBD consultant at Vermont Hempicurean. Learn how Vermont-grown hemp products can be used to relieve stress, enable more peaceful sleep, reduce pain due to inflammation, and more. Phillips will explain the basics of cannabidiol’s potential health benefits, and showcase some gift ideas for friends and family for the holidays.
Saturday, December 22: Pop Up Gift Shop from noon to 4 pm.
