Parenting adventures in the great outdoors

DUMMERSTON- On Tuesday, March 26, at 7 pm, the Dummerston Conservation Commission and the Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center present “Wild Play: Parenting Advantures in the Great Outdoors” at the Dummerston Star Grange, 1008 East-West Road.
Join David Sobel as he weaves together parenting experiences, developmental theory, and stories he told his children, presenting a model of healthy parenting in concert with the natural world.
Sobel is professor emeritus at Antioch University New England. He consults and speaks widely on child development and place-based education with schools, environmental organizations, and the National Park Service. Recognized as one of the daring dozen educational leaders in the United States in 2007 by Edutopia Magazine, Sobel is the author of numerous books and articles for educators, parents, and environmentalists focusing on children and nature.
