Memorial Day planting
BRATTLEBORO- The 21st annual Memorial Planting Service, sponsored by Brattleboro Area Hospice, will be Sunday June 2, at 4 pm at the Brattleboro Area Hospice Memorial Garden at Living Memorial Park on Guilford Street.
All are welcome to plant flowers, create memorial messages on stones to be placed in the garden or taken home, read names of those who have died in the past year, and listen to beautiful music, all to honor and remember loved ones who have died.
Everyone is invited, so encourage family members and friends to come. This service can be an especially meaningful experience for children. Flowers and materials for memorial stones will be provided. Light refreshments will be served. The garden is accessible via a gravel path. A few chairs will be available for those who need to sit.
The service will be held even if there’s light rain. In the event of heavy rain, the service will be postponed until Tuesday, June 4, at 5 pm. If in doubt about whether the service is taking place on June 2 because of rain call (802) 257-0775 after 2 pm on June 2 and press “4” for a special message.
