Fun across Readsboro
Readsboro- The town has a number of events planned to celebrate Memorial Day this year.
A pancake breakfast will be held Monday, May 27, from 8 am to 12:30 pm at the Bullock Building, 7012 Main Street.
The breakfast includes homemade buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, chocolate chips, and local Readsboro maple syrup; home fries; sausage; and coffee, tea, juice or hot chocolate. Adults, $12, children under 5, $3, or big-boy-all-you-can-eat for $20.
Mitchell Holland, local producer, will have maple syrup for purchase and RHR is offering a 50/50 raffle.  All proceeds will benefit the Bullock Building Restoration Project.
Then join in on Main Street at the bandstand for Memorial Day ceremonies and a parade. The theme is a remembrance of D-Day, June 6, 1944, the Normandy, France, Allied invasion known as Operation Overlord during World War II. It was the largest seaborne invasion in history.
The Readsboro Lions Club and the town cemetery commission will provide a hospitality tent at the Village Cemetery for Memorial Day weekend, May 24, 25, and 26.
Complimentary coffee, lemonade, and baked goods will be served. Current and former residents are invited to stop by, socialize, and enjoy the offerings.
