DOVER- On Friday, August 3, at 7 pm, the Dover Free Library will present “Reconstructing History and Genealogy: Mom’s WWII Letters,” a slideshow presentation by Corinne Smith.
In May 2017, Smith found her mother’s stash of more than 100 letters from 16 servicemen she had corresponded with in 1944 and 1945. She began to trace the soldiers’ family trees with one goal in mind: to return the letters in person to their children.
This presentation links history to present-day research and diligence. This event is free and open to the public. For more information call (802) 348-7488 or visit www.doverfreelbrary1913.org.
