Field day focuses on urine’s benefits

BRATTLEBORO - Soil Health and Recycled Amendments, an on-farm field day with the Rich Earth Institute, will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 3 to 5 pm, on Spring Tree Road.
This event highlights insights from a three-year study investigating the effects of sanitized human urine, biochar made from biosolids, biochar made from sawdust, and compost (in various combinations) on soil health and crop yield. The program will also feature diverse farmers’ perspectives on these amendments gathered through social research.
