Explore the human impulse with author

WILMINGTON- On Saturday, October 27, Vermont author Jon Clinch will be appearing at Memorial Hall, 14 West Main Street.
The prize-winning author will be presenting “Between the Lines of Huckleberry Finn” at 8 pm. His talk will explore the human impulse to look behind the scenes of novels like Twain’s “Adventure of Huckleberry Finn,” to learn more about the characters’ larger worlds.
Clinch is the author of “Finn,” an American Library Association notable book and “Kings of the Earth,” an Oprah summer reading list choice in 2010 and Washington Post best book of the year.
The show is sponsored by the Friends of Historic Memorial Hall and is a benefit for Pettee Memorial Library.  Donations will be accepted at the door.  Bartleby’s Books will be on hand to sell copies of Clinch’s books. Contact Pettee Library for more information at (802) 464-8557.
