Brown Bag Lunch events for next week
BRATTLEBORO- Strolling of the Heiffers has released the schedule for its brown bag luncheon series at The River Garden for next week.
Monday, November 12: New England dance tunes: jigs, reels, waltzes, and polkas with Andy Davis and Laurie Indenbaum playing traditional dance music on fiddle, piano, and accordion.
Tuesday, November 13: solo bass with Jamie MacDonald, who will perform tunes from different eras, talk about their significance, as well as the history of music and the double bass.
Wednesday, November 14: Democracy forum:Voter suppression past and present.
Thursday, November 15: Global education inequalities: A Ukraine case study with Dr. Korzh, professor of international education at the School for International Training.
Friday, November 16:Turning point: Is it a drinking problem or a drinking solution? Taking a a look at the trifecta of genetics, environment, and opportunity that leads to addictive behavior and how you can help someone avoid or survive that unhappy trap. Presented by Turning Point of Windham County.
All brown bag lunch events take place Monday through Friday, from 12 to 1 pm, at The River Garden, 157 Main Street.
